THE MORMON PASS TO SLAVERY.
"A LOST DAUGHTER."
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —With your kind permission I ask that the enclosed clipping be reproduced An your yaluabte columns, as an explanation .of, or, at least, as a guide to a! clipping which was inserted in your issue of the 18th. inst. I take it that the article vs abov> named was a clipping taken from the Liverpool Post. Such being the case you will see at once that th© attached clipping was a letter sent io the Liverpool Post and Mercury by no other person than the young lady who was ihe subject-matter of the pie y;e inserted in your issue of the 18th in&r. As the piece itself is. written by the person referred to, I will make tio comment on the subject. Suffice it to say that your many readers no do'ibt will best judge for themselves, either" to take the statements 'of prejudiced writers or the facts .as stated by i.he lady herself. As the clipping is rather a lengthy one, I do not wish to occupy too much of your valuable space-; but at a later date' I wish to ssk you ' to insert another clipping treating solely on the ©haa*acter and tactics employed by the said Mr Hans P. Freece, whom some of your worthy correspondents' seem to delight in championing.1 p. McDonald, Wairau Pa.
