A SUBMARINE IN A GALE

SYDNEY, April 25. The cruiser Edgar has arrived from England with relief crews for tho Torch, Sealark, and Fantome. The Edgar had an exciting time -towing the submarine C 38 from Suez to Singapore. During a- heavy blow the tow-lines parted. The submarine was two clays knocking about under her own steam, practically submerged by the heavy seas. The crew were on short allowance. When the weather moderated towing was resumed.
