CAPETOWN, April 26. In the Union Parliament General Smuts withdrew the Immigrants' Restriction Bill and expressed the' hope that it would be possible to end the passive resistance. He announced a more mature measure to be introduced next session.
Parliament will be prorogued on' August Ist.
