THREE PEOPLE DROWNED
„ April 21, 8.5 a.m.) v CAPETOWN, April 20. The Lusitania ran on the. rocks in the moonlight and crippled her bow. All hands were in confusion, but there was no panic. Two hundred and fifty natives behaved admirably, but some of the .Europeans rushed the boats before the women and children were comfortably stowed. The women were scantily clad, some only in blankets and socks. They landed in a famished condition. The fog made the work of rescue difficult, and three were drowned. The Lusitania sank.
