ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
BOROUGH v. BLENHEIM.
A match between the above teams was played at th© Domain on Wednesday. Elliott started the ball rolling for Borough against wind and sun, and immediately pressed, Elliott shooting just wide. The Borough goal was visited now, and Bottrell tested Gamble, who cleared nicely. The play now rapidly changed from one end to the other, Wanden and Agar safely clearing for Borough, and Lucas and Patchett doing the lion, s share for Blenheim. SpittaT, the Boroughs' clever wing, broke away and centred nicely for Crook to score, making Borough 1, Blenheim 0. Soon after this Blenheim broke away and Bottrell equalised. There was no further score when half-time arrived.^ Straight" from the resumption Borough came away, and Elliott shot -just wide. Now Blenheim came away, and things were merry for the Borough backs. Blenheim shot oust over the bar, and from the kick-olr Spittal raced away, beating man after man, and centred for Crook to put on No 2 for Borough. Two more goals were quickly registered for Borough, but were disallowed for off-side. Again Borough came away and bpittal receiving the ball at halt-way, tricked the Blenheim backs and registered goal No. 3. The game ended with Blenheim pressing, Borough d, Blenheim 1. _, . . Considering that Blenheim are a new club they did well, but they must remember that talking is very objectionable in "soccer" football.
