The Primate of New Zealand, the Right Rev. Dr NevilL will leave Wellington to-day for England by the t-ormthic. During his nine months' absence, Bishop Julius, of Christ church, will act as Primate.
A wedding of interest to Blenheim residents was celebrated at St. Paul's Church of England, Sydney, on February loth ,the contracting parties being Mr W Ahem, eldest son of the late Mrs M. Ahem, of Blenheim, to Miss Wensley, eldest daughter of Mr J. J. Wensley, St. Peter's, Sydney. Mr Frederick West, a very old and respected resident of ColWwood died on Monday afternoon, at the age of 81. The deceased came to Collingwood m the early 'sixties, and after following the occupation of a miner for many years he entered into the business of a mining and general agent, in which capacity he was wellknown. The deceased was for a lone time a member of the Collingwood County Council, and for one year county chairman. He was also a Justice of the Peace.
