MR ASQUITH SUGGESTED AS CHAIRMAN.
ASSOCIATION.] (Received March 20, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 20. The Times, in a leading article, advocates Mr Asquith presiding over the Imperial Conference. This was due to the men who had travelled thousands of miles and devoted months of ,work to the Conference. The status of the Conference as the highest deliberative body of the Empire would otherwise deteriorate, and the Prime Ministers of the Dominions in future would be less disposed to spend time and trouble in attending the gathering.
