At the nautical inquiry, into the stranding of the Knight oif the .Garter ,m Bluff Harbor on Februay 17th, the Court found that1 aander the sailing ■ directions of itJhe jNew Zealand Pilot the captain 'should lhav© first secured a pilot. He was ordered to pay £40 towards the cost <stf the inquiry. The certificate of the master was returned.

'Owing to the harbor-master not hasing left the pilot on board after the stranding, and not having A tug in close attendance, the Harbor Board were ordered to pay £9 ISs 5d costs.
