A COCKSURE MURDER.
KILLS HIS FATHER AND WOUNDS HIS SISTER.
[press association.] (Received Jan. 26, 8.15 a.m ) NEW YORK, Jan. 25. John Drost, a farm hand, shot his father dead at Northbend, Washington State.
When arrested he said: "I shot him because I am Americanised. If we had still lived in Holland I would not have done it; but here 'is the greatest country on earth, and no jury will convict me when I tell them my motive."
A. daughter of the victim, in attempting to save her father, was badly wounded.
