(Evening Post, Saturday.) A large Sydney shipment came for- £?™ d tLls week- T*l® Maitai landed cases on. Wednesday afternoon.

With few exceptions the bulk arrived in good condition, some of the fruit being carried,in the cool chamber. Choice mandarins in gin cases realised 12s to 14s, oranges 6s to 8s 6d, passions 13s to 17s, lemons 5s 6d to 6s 6d —all per bushel case. Pineapples sold from 9s to 14s 6d per double case. Green peas ex the same steamer quitted at 3ftd to 4d per pound. The Hobart boat landed 1100 cases- of fruit. Sturm ers brought 7s to 9s French crabs 7s to Bs, Russets 9s to 10s. Mildura lemons arrived by the same steamer,' the bulk being in bad coridition. Prices ranged from 6s to 7s 6d per bushel case. Spring products are now coming in freely from the ,' local districts. Rhubarb is plentiful at from 4s to 8s per dozen, asparagus 6s to 15s per dozen, cucumbers 5d to 8d each, tomatoes 2s per ib, green peas 2s 6d to 3s per peck. Other vegetables are all in good demand. Cabbages are selling at 5s to 7s, cauliflowers 6s to 13s, lettuces 2s to 4s; spinach 4s per case, carrots 3s, turnips 2s, beetroot ss, parsnips 7s to 10s per sack, swedes 2s to 3s per cwt, marrows 2s, pumpkins 4s per sack. Cut flowers have advanced in value, owing to short supply. Some high prices were realised yesterday, trumpet daffodils selling up to 5d per dozen blooms. Celery is quoted at Is to 3s per dozen, leeks Is. There are no new potatoes .available. Old are in demand at 8s to 9s, onions 7s to 8s per cwt. A sliipmentf-of 300 cases of Nelson apples ex cool stores came to hand to-day. They have not yet been sold, but appear to be in good order.
