An explosion of 200 pounds of .gelignite occurred aboard a launch lying alongside the wharf. The launch .and a "portion of the wharf were destroyed. The town was. shaken, pottery and windows being broken in all -directions. The explosion was heard -ten miles, away. No one was injured.
