TROUBLE WITH ENGLISH RIVETERS.

[beess association.] (Received Sept. 4, 5 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 3:. ; The riveters on the teasels built on the Isherwood system, contended that •longitudinal framing meant harder work, and the usual piecework scales yielded an insufficient wage. Pending the preparation., of permanent conditions, the Employers' Federation and the Boilermakers' Executive signed a provisional agreement last week, but the riveters this week repudiated it, and the executive's efforts to induce iJhein to resume work were unavailing. ;' The Trades Union secretaries at Wearside criticise the boilermakers' want of discipline. ■" f '''■>■' There have foemtsixty sectional misputes within the federated area-since the national agreement last'year, including fifteen an August.
