CRUISE OF THE WORLD.

A cruise of the world by 200 British warships—this is the great naval project which is contemplated by the Government, and concerning which the first public announcement was made a few days ago. , The decision to despatch this immense fleet was reached on the sth inst., but was kept a secret. The date of the/fleet's departure has not yet been definitely fixed,

but it will probably be in the early part of next year. The ships will visit all the British dominions, their route/ as at present planned, being via Gibraltar, South Africa, India. Australia, Japan, and the Canadian Pacific coast. .
