REPORTED PLOT TO KILL KING MANUEL.
It is only now that the public are hearing of the frustration of a desperate plot to assinate King Manuel during the progress of King Edward's funeral. According to the Scotland Yard authorities extra precautions were taken to guard Portugal's youthful ruler when it was found that some of the anarchists who were implicated in the assassination of his father were in London. The police are reported to have mad© seven arrests in connection with the plot.
