SUFFRAGETTES IN AMERICA.

Chicago is in the grip of the suffragettes. Led by Mrs Dora Montefiore and the most militant of the British leaders, they opened their campaign a few days ago. The suffragettes declare that their tactics against the Washington Legislature will be. similar to those pursued at the House of Commons. In New York ten thousand women paraded the streets as a protest against the refusal of the State Legislature to grant universal suffrage.
