BANQUET IN LONDON.

LONDON, June 31. Sir George Reid presided at the West- Australia banquet, held in the Trocadero. There were 200 present, including the Duke of Bedford, the Agents-General, Messrs F. H. Piesse, Doolette, Moreing, Nivison, bankers, merchants, shipowners and financiers.

Lord Goschen proposed the toast of the Empire, and Mr M. L.'Moss replied. Sir George Reid propdsed "the toast of Mr Moore and Western Australia' and Mr Rason proposed the health of the chairman.
