"SUCROSINE" FED. Mr J. iff. Sellers, of Okaiawia, the noted ibreeder of Berkshire pigs, writes: "I have used 'SUCROSiNE' for the past four years, and the result has quite exceeded my expectations. During that ' time I have taken 198 prizes, 33 champions, 5 gold medals, and four points prizes." For pigs, horses, and all kinds of live stock there is no food equal to "SUCROSINE." Obtainable from W. E. Clouston and Co.. Md., Blenheim. A somewhat .amusing complication arose the other day between an importer of books, etc., and the Cusi toms authorities (states the Christchurch Press). The former imported a large quantity of religious tracts, and was informed that he must pay a duty of 3d per 1b on them, as "advertisingmatter." In reply the importer asked to be informed whose and what goods he was advertising. He has not up to the present received any answer to his inquiry. Lovely new muff chains, necklets, gents' guards, greenstone and p-old alberts, 35s each. Secure one at W J. Martin's. •
