This game was not particularly fast or exciting, but some good form .was shown by the Marlborough forwards, who have improved very much on their last year's play. As demonstrated by the score the game was rather one-sided, the advantage throughout being with Marlborough.' Misses Patchett and Mason played well for the Hinekoa, and Misses Hutcheson, E. Smale and McKay in the forward line and L. Ewart and M. Smale in the backs for Marlborough. " The scorers were Miss E. Foster five goals, Miss McKay one, Miss Hutcheson one, and Miss McKenzie one.
