DESTROYERS TO CARRY OTHER MAILS.

PARIS, 'April 5. The strike of reservists has spread to Toulon. (Received April 7, 1.10 a.m.) PARIS, April 6. M. -Cheron, Under-Seoretary for the if avy, boarded various mail-boats at Marseilles and exhorted the crews not to abandon the vessels. Two mail-steamers then sailed. The Government are arranging* for destroyers to carry "Tunis.and Algiers mails.
Efforts are being made to secure the departure of the Caledonian for Australia to-day. 'The fOompagnie Transaiftantique, however, has ceased to issue tickets to intending passengers.
