THREE KEEL-PLATES LAID.
LONDON, April 1. The keel-plates of the battleships Conqueror and. Monarch and the cruiser Princess Royal were laid today at Beardmore's, Armstrong's, and Tickers' yards respectively. The keel of the Thunderer will be laid at Blackwall on the 13th.
The sum of £347,609 >as already been spent on preliminary preparations for these ships.
