ELECTORAL REFORM.
A MOTION TALKED OUT
LONDON, April 2. Mr Sherwell, Liberal Member for Huddersfield, moved a Bill abolishing plural voting and making the elections take place on the same day. tie stated that the ownership, vote exceeded the Unionist majority in by constituencies, of which 14 produced Unionist gains. . , Mr Staveley-Hill, Unionist Member for Kingswinford, said that it the Liberals were honest they should also tackle redistribution.- There was nothing to prevent the elections being held on the same day. Th-j present system suited the convenience or particular constituencies. The motion was talked out.
