BODY FOUND IN A CLUMP OF

FERN.

. [press association.] HAMILTON, March 9. The dead body of a newly-born child was found in a clump of fern at Waotu. It is supposed to be that of a servant-girl, l'he child was born on- Friday in a paddock adjoining the farm where the girl worked. A pastmortem examination proved that the child lived. There were no apparent marks of violence. An inquest is being held.
