CYCLING.

CONTINENTAL RIDERS MAY VISIT NEW ZEALAND.

(Special to The Express.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 9. The council of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen is endeavouring -to arrange with the promoters of the Warnambool-Melbourne and Goul-burn-Sydney road races for these fixtures and the Timaru-Christchuroh Toad race to be run on such dates as will allow of competitors taking part in all three races, if so desired. It is understood that inquiries have been made in several instances of Continental riders with regard to the !Emaru-Cnristchurch road race, ad the council think that if such Continental men were given an opportunity of taking part in all three races and not in the Timaru-Christchurch race alone a big team might visit New Zealand and Australia this year, and add considerably to the interest which is taken in the three big races. If necessary, the date of the TimaruChristchureh road race will be altered to facilitate matters.
