Play will commence at 10.30 a.m. Wellington beat Canterbury by 9 wickets. Canterbury made 122 and 129, and Wellington 171 and 84 for one wicket. In Canterbury's second innings W. Carl ton made 56 not out .and Boxshall 19, and Wellington's total was mainly due to Hickson 32 not out and Midlane 40 not out. Upham captured 6 Canterbury wickets for 52, while Hickey took 3 for 36.
