, SKEYMOHTH, Jan. 5. Thft JEfcm; • >R; MeKeuzie, Minister for Mines, held: a cpnferenCie with the miners' exec iitive yesterday morning in, regard to the State mine strike. He offered to agree to any award in existence, such as Granity, Seddonville, or Denniston. The executive agreed to accept Seddonville, and a meeting of miners was held at six o clock to consider the conditions. A very lively meeting took place, lasting till close on 11 o'clock. The meeting insisted on certain alterations to the Seddonville agreement, andthe Minister will consider the matter. .It is more than likely-that an amicable settlement will be arrived ..it, a« the miners have consented to start work this morning?
