STAMP DUTIES ACT.
The Stamp Duties Act Amendment Bill increases the tax of 1J per cent, previously levied on the totalisator investments of racing clubs to 2^ per cent, on all receipts of such clubs, w4£h the exception of jockeys and trainers' fees, as from Ist Mrch, 1910. The tax imposed on hank notes issued and in circulation is increased from 10s to Iss per cent. :. .
