To grasp the marvel of these vessels, says the Glasgow Herald, it is only necessary to reflect that they will be 170 ft. longer than the Invincibles, which were completed last year, and three: knots faster, and that they will be better armed and better protected than the King Edward battleships of the 1903-4 programme. They will be able to feel their way through fogs by means of their submarine sound-signalling apparatus, • and to keep in toiichTwith each other and with, their bases by means of wireless telegraphy. They will even have "lifts" to conveys their engineers and stokers to and from their work. They will cost considerably over two million pounds sterling each.
