Arrangements are being made by the Marlborough A. and P. Association to have samples of the soil in every part of the province tested by a Government expert at the Jubilee Show, and also to prescribe the fertilisers suitable for the different kinds of soil.
Plans and specifications for . the erection of a large two-storeyed building en Mr E. H. Eccles's vacant section between Messrs Benning's and G. Patchett's shops have been completed by Mr Austin, architect, of High Street. Tenders are now being called for the erection of the building. Provision has been made for two large shops on the ground floor, while the upper storey will be used as offices. ■-....■
