HONORING SIR JOSEPH.

AUCKLAND, Sept. 16. At a public meeting last night a committee was appointed to make ai'rangements to welcome Sir Joseph Ward on the 30th; inst. He will be presented with an address, and a half-holiday will be observed if the time of his arrival is suitable.
Last evening Court Blenheim, A.0.F., held their usual meeting. The D.C.R., Bro. Colquhoun, .paid an -official visit to .the Court. At the invitation of the C.R., the D.C.R. conducted the business of the Court, and at;, the conclusion he was entertained, at a social gathering by the members of the Court.

The Rev. G. J. Williams, of the London Missionary Society, accompanied by Mrs Williams, arrived in Auckland by the Mokoia on Sunday. Mr and Mrs Williams have recently come out from London, and have been holding very successful meetings in- West Australia, Victoi'ia and New South Wales.
