LONDON, Sept, 15. Tl;e .Right, Hon.-Alfred LytteltOn,in an interview, eulogised Australia's ■- patriotism and self-sacrifice in the • proposed establishment of a .naval college. It was a grea^ step towardsmanning her navy. Regarding thefarm scheme, he remarked that it. was only natural they should oesire^ the best type of British immigrant. Lord Milner was equally enthusiastic, and considered both schemes ad- i mirable.
Later,
Lord Milner, in the course of the interview respecting ,New South Wales immigration, considered that England cannot spare people off the1 land. He suggests utilising town, boys, who are sharp and willing. London boys, if taken young, would, he considers, make excellent citizens^ and settlers. V
