POULTRY ASSOCIATION..
The weekly meeting of the above was last night held at the Club Hotel, Mr J. Lord presiding, and there were nine members present. An apology for non-attendance was received from Mr Freeman Hale. Accounts to the amount of £5 8s 6d were passed for payment. Messrs Lord, Priddle, and Morrison were appointed an art union commit- j tee. . . . | It was resolved to insure the special and art union prizes now on exhibi- ~ tion. .. Mr R. Wooster was elected to a vacancy on the Committed". The Chairman reported on the deputation to the A. and P. Association, the outcorha of which has already been reported. Mr Lord ini'ormed the members that Mr Sharp had made complaint of the want of attention to the birds last show, and had stated they were without food or water. Mr Kitching said they might have been without food, but they were certainly watered. Mr Wareham said that the tins were leaking and that accounted for the fact of there being no water. The receptacles wanted overhauling before the next show. The Secretary was authorised to overhaul the tins and get those out of order repaired or renewed. Messrs E. James (poultry) and G. Patchett (pigeons) were appointed judges' stewards. W. J. Martin's trophy was allotted to the competitor getting most points in the poultry class. Mr Patchett's trophy was allotted to the bantam class, and Mr. A. McLauchlan's special of 10s 6d to most points in. fancy pigeons.
