Advices have been received of the death in Sweden of General Booth Hellberg, son-in-law of General Booth and for many years one of the chiet officers of the Salvation Army in Sweden. ARCHBISHOP AND LABOR. MELBOURNE, June 9. Archbishop Clarke declined the request of the Council of the Churches to set apart a Labor Sunday for sermons devoted to social and economic questions on the grounds that the judgment of the Church upon the whole question was contained in the diocesan report, and the whole annual commemoration of Christian faith and duty was set forth in the prayer-book.
