LONDON, April 23. An enthusiastic gathering of Salvationists was held in ■ the Albert Hall to celebrate General 'Booth's birthday. Mr Asquith sent hearty congratulations and best wishes.
SELWYN'S CENTENARY,
LONDON, April 23
The centenary of Bishop Selwyn ■was celebrated at Lichfield, Cambridge and other places. The offertories will be divided between Selwyn College and the Pattisori memorial wing at St. John's College, Auckland.
