PRISONERS SENTENCED

WELLINGTON, April 21. Prisoners who had pleaded guilty were sentenced at the Supreme Court this morning. John David Anderson, for the theft of money at Seddon from a. man with whom lie had been drinking, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment. William Albert Hansen, on five charges of false pretences and one of forgery, .at Eltham, received two years' imprisonment. Hansen had been a road foreman under the Eltham County Council and had defrauded that body. Edgar Hupe, for arson, at the Hoyal Hotel, Palmerston North, was sentenced to five years'" imprisonment. Richard Lynch, for breaking, entering and theft, received three years.
