PROPOSED REFERENDUM IN

NATAL

[press association.] (Received April 21, 8.45 a.m.) DURBAN, April 20. The "Assembly at Pietermaritzburg read a second time a Bill providing for the holding of a referendum as to whether Natal shall enter the Union.

A meeting in the Town Hall at Durban urged that no further steps in regard to union be taken until the Mozambique agreement is abrogated or modified.
