THE NELSON MATCH.

TRENTHAM, March1 5. . Shooting commenced at 8 o'clock to-day under ideal conditions, end up to ton o'clock the shooting was ideal. The match started was the Nelson Match, 500 and 800 yards, ten shot®, and at the first range so many possibles and all-buts were recorded, that no notice was taken of 38's. There was a dead calm, and a fine light. Possibles were recorded by J. Preston (Auckland), Marshall (Waikato), Rowe, tyro, (Auckland), Williams (Featherston), Forbes (Napier), Duthie (Christen iirch), Ching (Nelson), Bigg (Christohurch), and Dodds (Port Chalmeirs). Among the niunprO'lis all-buts was Boys, of Newton, a tyro.
