Heffer, of the local branch 'of the Bank of New South Wales, whohas been transferred to Wellington, was met by the members of the iiin i Hockey Club on Wednesday, when a: j presentation was made him of a set [ of handsomely- mounted military hair brushes. Mr Fisk, the captain of the club, in making the presentation, referred to Mr Ueffer's long connection with the club, lasting over a period of six years; ever since, in fact, the club was formed. The members of thd team wero very sorry to lose their wing, but they were glad for his own sake at his promotion, and wished him every success -in his new sphere of operations. Mr Esson also spoke, after which Mr Heffer, in feeling terms, replied.
