BAND CONTEST.
RESULT OF TEST PIECES. [press association.] HAMILTON, Oct. 10. In the Band contest the A grade £50 and £25 test piece, "Ten Minutes with Wagner " resulted as follows:— - Hauraki 97, Waihi Federal 94, First Battalion (Auckland) 93, Hamilton 92, Second Battalion '(Thames) 91/ B grade, £30 and £15, test "Gems from Mendelssohn''<: — Cambridge 74, Onehunga 72, Waikino 68. . Large crowds were present, and good .weather prevailed.
