CONNELLY'S CASES.
MURDER CHARGE DISMISSED.
THIRTEEN COUNTS OF PERJURY.

WESTPORT, July 18. In the alleged murder charge against Connelly, no evidence was offered, and the charge was dismissed.
The perjury charges (thirteen counts) were then proceeded with 0. E. Bowling, Clerk of the Court, deposed that Connelly's demeanour in the witness-boxon- occasions was similar to that of a perfeon Mlling1-' wilful lies. He hesitated, and appeared to be on his guard air the time1. Hugh Duncan, who found Bourke m a dying condition, said that his dog barked as if some other person besides Bourke was in the shed. . The Court has adjourned till Monday, when the prisoners Anderson and Halinen will give evidence. Counsel, in his opening, said that a woman had come forward and made a statement to the Clerk of the Court directly implicating Connelly alone in the assault on Bourke.
