Mr DeaMn statds that the decision ( of the High Court was not unexpected. Some other means, he says, will be found of giving effect to the new protection. - . -
Sir William Lyne says that it may be desirable to amend the Constitution^ if the necessary arrangements can be. made for taking a referendum.
Ministers will confer regarding the situation during the coming week.
The secretary of the Federal Labour Party, declares that the Party will insist on the amendment of the Constitution. ' ■■
