OBITUARY.
GROVER CLEVELAND. [press association.] (Received June 25, 10.25 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 25. The death is announced of Grover Cleveland, who passed away suddenly from heart failure. The -funeral will take place on Friday. President Roosevelt eulogised the late Mr 'Cleveland's honourable career[Grover Cleveland was horn at Caldwell, New Jersey, in 1837. He was descended from Moses Cleveland, who emigrated from Ipswich, England, in; 1635. He was admitted to the Bar at Buffalo in 1859 > from 1871 to' 1874 lie was Sheriff- for Erie Cdunty; he was elected Mayor of Buffalo in 1882; served as Governor of New York from 1883 to 1885, and -was chosen President ol: the JJnited States in 1885. He held the position till 1889, and'was re-elected m 1893, retiring in 1897, when he was succeeded by President McKinley.]
