A match imder Association rules took place on Nelson "Square (Picton) on Wednesday . afternoon before a good crowd of people, and resulted in a win for the lanldsnlen\by four goals to one. *This makes'honours even, as the tdams-, liaw met' on ihree occasions, the, ship -winning first match by three1 -gifals to one, the second match resulting in a draw, neither 'side finding;tfite, net; |so the Waitohi Club Jiave reason to congratulate themselves' on the w.ay they have acquitted themselves against their more experienced rivals. , . " Soccer " has got' quite a hold on some of the young fellows in Picton, some of them preferring it to Rugby; and steps are being taken to form a club in' the tow«. It is" to be hoped that Blenheim will also form a club, so that matchos can be arranged between the two towns. There are some experienced players living in Blenheim, and it would also be an induce-ment-to get some of the Wellington teams to visit Marlborough. Mr W. Barratt, of Picton, is an active worker in connection with the Waitohi Club, and intending Blenheim i players are. requested to communicate with him.,.' ,
