REASSURING THE ADMIRAL. AUCKLAND, June 13. In a ■ letter forwarded to RearAdmiral Perry, of the American Squadron, the American Consul-Gen-eral, Mr Prickett, writes: " The people of New Zealand are expressing great gratification on account of the visit of the American Fleet, and yoxi may be assured of a hearty and enthusiastic reception." The Mayor of Auckland has replied to the Prime Minister agreeing, in behalf of the city, ta provide a flag, and asking Sir Joseph Ward to furnish particulars whether the Government has fixed upon any special style. The Auckland tradespeople will be instructed to receive American currency at the rate of four shillings to the dollar, which will be; redeemed at the bank of redemption. j
