CHRISTCHURCH, June 1

An evangelist who by some means incurred the wrath of a mob of larriw kins last evening had to get away hurriedly from his pitch at the City Hotel. The mob followed, pelting him and his supporters with mud._ A great crowd assembled, and serious iujury to the evangelist was averted by the intervention of the police.
