THREAT TO SHOOT A WOMAN,

MARTON, May 15. There was a burglar at Marton last night. He is evidently an expert thief, and is making a tour down the oq&st. 'At the White Hart Hotel; two boarders* rooms were entered, and the pockets of the inmates carefully gone through, all the money being abstracted. The room occupied by the proprietor's son was also visited, and the money in his pockets stolen. The Club Hotel" w,as also entered. Here the thief was seen,by the housemaid, whose room he entered with a lighted candle. On her awakening he threatened to blow her brains out if she gave the alarm. He then took the contents of her purse, threw the empty purse at her, and decamped. The police have some clue, in the description given by the housemaid.
