The Natal Witness has been mulcted in £500 damages for libelling Mr Carter, Minister for Justice, by publishing letters written by Mr E. G. Jellicoe alleging that Mr Carter suppressed a telegram in the hope of preventing Mr Jellicoe's admission at the Natal Bar, thereby precluding tori from acting for Dinizulu.
