THE PIERROTS.
!; Mr Harry Primrose's company obtained a very poor welcome in Blenheim last evening. There were other meetings on,, and this fact no doubt militated against the attendance. The company comprises Mr Harry Primrose, who sings comic songs, and who plays a variety of musical instruments, irom the ordinary or scrap-heap variety of tin-can to the banjo; Mr Rouiston, who deserves a special word oi merit for his accompanying; Miss Alicia Woodham, a native of Blenheim, who sings soprano songs, such as "II Bacio," with moderate success, doing better, however, in the plantation choruses in the second part; and, last but not least, Miss Ada Weston, who is the soubrette of the party. The second part of the entertainment was devoted, to the Pierrots, and this was a pleasing act, Miss Woodham being heard to great advantage, the coon choruses suiting her voice admirably. Mr Rouiston and Mr Primrose also ac£ed in a couple of farces, which caused great amusement. During the evening Miss Woodham was the recipient of a basket of flowers.
The company appear at Havelock to-night, and go on to Picton to-mor-row, returning to Blenheim on a night next week to give another performance.
