WHT HE HAS DONE NOTHING
(Received May 8; 8.26 a:m.) LONDON, May 7. Dr Winter, the Amir's lady doctor, on being interviewed in London, explains that Habibullah (the Amir) is distinctly friendly to the English, but is unable strongly to repress tribesmen displaying anti-British proclivities owing to ;plots against his brother. Nagi-ullah: Dr Winter is confident that the Amir is absolutely in favour of the Anglos-Russian agreement, but did not sign it owing to outside pressure.
