CHJUSTCHUROH, May 2. The Otira correspondent of The Press writes: Once driving operations had been commenced in earnest daylight was soon left behind, and with three shifts making the progress iv the heading has been good. The ground was stony and extremely rougTi, but a day or two ago came the gratifying news .that the -solid country had been struck. This is good news, and it is to be sincerely hoped that this condition of things will continue throughout the operations. Men''who are well qualified to speak clainl that it will rever be the hardness x>f' the rook met with that -will ietard progress, but broken,ground.
