WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE.

W. E. Gkmston and Co., Ltd.. re-, port holding their monthly wool, ' skin, L hide arid tallow sale on Tuesday last Prices Till round showed a further xirop on those realised last sale. The .following prices are quoted: Woolly skins 3d to 4£d per ib; quarter-w66l 2d to 3£d; pelts 2d to 6d each; green skins Is 3d to Is 6d each. Wool: Merino 4d per,lb; halfbred Ud; pieces Id, to 2id;-locks *d •to Id: hides 2d to 3|d. Tallow, "in tins, 12s 6d to 13s; in bags 10s to 12s. .Messrs Dalgety arid Co; report that at their monthly sale of wool, skins, hides and fat;--held on Tuesday last, they offered 1200 skins, 30 hides, 15 bales,.2o bags wool, 11 casks tallow,, quantity/ rough rendered fat, rabbit skins, etc. The competition, was good at about id per lb below last month's value. Skins: Crossbreds 3*d to. 4jd: halfbreds to sd; merino halfbreds 3d to 4d; lambs to 4^d: green butchers' crossbreds 2s 6d •■ bare pelts to 8d; rabbit skins 4d. Most of the wool was(passed in; best offer for halfbred fleece being 4fd. Dead imd mixed wool sold at 3d. Butchers' hides brought 3^d per ib Rough fa,t sold at 13s to 14s 6d. Rendered \fat 12s. Tallow in shipping condition £22 to £22 5s per ton.
